Proven record of working for you
Big or small, these issues make an impact on improving our community
Introduced ordinances to protect youth from unregulated THC and hookah products
Expanded licensing requirements to include hookah establishments
Leading the effort for a new municipal flag, including the creation of the Milwaukee City Flag Task Force
Secured $4,000,000 to improve local roads in the 2025 City budget
Created the Sworn Employee Referral Special Fund in the Fire and Police Commission to bolster recruitment efforts
Cut property taxes by 6.77% for 2024 (largest County property tax cut ever)
Co-Chair Transit Safety and Security Task Force - to improve public transportation’s safety and security for passengers and operators, and increase transit safety and security investment by $1,500,000 in the 2024 Milwaukee County budget
Increased the County’s transit budget by $16,000,000 to ensure routes don’t get cut and we can replace aging buses
Added funding so Transit employees can also use new County Employee health clinics to save County and employee out-of-pocket healthcare costs.
Unanimously passed Milwaukee County resolution calling for the American Family Field stadium board to fund their own stadium costs with development, not a taxpayer-funded billionaire bailout
Lobbied for increased shared revenue and a stadium funding plan that doesn’t use the County tax levy, which would cut critical services
Returned basketball hoops and picnic tables to Lyons Park, and added a new playground in the budget (summer 2024)
Cut through red tape to fix the water supply line to Valley Park's bubbler that hadn't worked in 8 years
Partnered with other elected officials and neighbors to rename the Washington Park roadway as Olmsted Way
Funded safer traffic flow and added bike lanes to Olmsted Way
Added $250,000 to the infrastructure investment offer from Harley-Davidson to rename Highland Park to Harley Park
Squeezed an extra $175,000 for a water line easement through a Milwaukee County Park from Waukesha Water
Negotiated an additional $400,000 development deal from a municipality to purchase and develop a County-owned foreclosed property.
and even more work lies ahead!
